(MEMPHIS, TN) – When the members of Visible Worship left the listening party for their debut EP a week ago, they couldn’t have known what was about to happen. The feedback from their friends and peers at Visible Music College was glowing – but no amount of praise would’ve predicted this for the new band.

Visible Worship’s debut EP, released May 8, charged up the iTunes charts eventually landing at No. 5 on the Christian music chart (and No. 1 in Christian records under $8) less than 48 hours later.

Madison Line Records COO Antonio Neal says he thinks the record will continue to climb, and that this achievement represents a significant milestone for the label and the band. “I’m happy for Visible Music College, Madison Line, the students and the band,” he says. “The greatest part to me was the synergy that happened. It felt like everyone – staff, parents, students – became part of the band. I’m just so proud of them.”

Now in its second incarnation, Visible Worship is building a foundation at Memphis’ Visible Music College, with new talented student musicians joining its ranks each year with a shared mission: making incredible music and spreading an incredible message. The 2014 iteration of the line-up includes Lance, songwriting major from Palestine, Texas, on acoustic guitar; Kyle, from Apex, N.C., on bass; Josh, from Fon du Lac, Wisc., on drums; Andrew, of Memphis, plays electric guitar and joins – last, but certainly not least – Jordan, also of Memphis, on lead vocals.

Visible Worship is also in the midst of a Kickstarter campaign to fund their summer U.S. tour. You can check out the campaign and get involved here. Download your copy of the debut EP here.

ABOUT VISIBLE WORSHIP

Many will come – few will be chosen. Those few are Lance Cook, Kyle Holder, Andrew Smith, Josh Kottke and Jordan Hays, otherwise known as Visible Worship. The story starts out something like this: auditions went down at Visible Music College. Student musicians felt called by God to this opportunity. They played. They rocked. They clicked. Now they’re here, signed to Madison Line Records, releasing their debut EP and preparing for a summer tour. Lance, songwriting major from Palestine, Texas, plays acoustic guitar. Kyle, from Apex, N.C., brings in the bass. Josh, from Fon du Lac, Wisc., is keeping the beat. Andrew, of Memphis, plays electric guitar and joins – last, but certainly not least – Jordan, also of Memphis, on lead vocals. (Of course, she’ll also balance things out with some feminine energy). Visible Worship wrote and recorded their EP over the course of the school year, all in preparation for the time they’ll spend roughing it in a van, taking their show on the road in the summer of 2014. They’re excited about their debut and every possibility beyond it – with diverse musical taste and influences and a common passion, Visible Worship is ready to define itself and create a movement. Now in its second incarnation, Visible Worship is building a foundation at Memphis’ Visible Music College, with new talented student musicians joining its ranks each year with a shared mission: making incredible music and spreading an incredible message.
