Artist: for KING & COUNTRY
Title: ‘Hope Is What We Crave LIVE’
Overall Album Vibe:
The Australian born brother duo of for KING & COUNTRY exploded on the music scene with their hit debut album, ‘Crave.’ Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, performing their smash hit “The Proof of Your Love” that was named Amazon.com’s “Christian Music’s Song of the Year.” The album was also named iTunes’ “Breakthrough Christian & Gospel Album of the Year.” And they were also named one of Billboard’s 17 acts to watch and became CCM’s best-selling new artist.
The band’s just released, ‘Hope Is What We Crave LIVE’ CD/DVD is filled with song after song that you’ll recognize from hearing on the radio or TV including, “Middle Of Your Heart”, “Busted Heart (Hold On To Me)” and “The Proof Of Your Love.”
The live project was recorded at The Factory in Franklin, Tenn. on the final night of the duos’, ‘Proof of Your Love Tour.’
The audience participation up tempo track, “Fine Fine Life,” gets things started on a strong note. Next up is, “Light It Up,” a mid-tempo piano driven track that needs to heard by anyone suffering from depression. This is one of those songs that could literally be a life saver to someone that’s given up on life. The song is filled with so much hope. It’s followed by one of the band’s hit singles, “Middle of Your Heart.” At one point the song has a worshipful experience as the entire audience joins the singing with a gospel choir like vibe. The track, “Missing,” deals with lost love. “Pushing On A Pull Door,” is an up-tempo big rock sounding track that deals with when we always try to be in total control of everything in our lives and not willing to turn it over to God’s will and how often it turns into like we’re trying to open a pull style door by pushing on it and wondering why it won’t open. Next up is another of the band’s smash hits, “Busted Heart (Hold On To Me).” The track deals with seeking out God’s grace and guidance. “Baby Boy” is a melodic worshipful track about how the birth of the baby Jesus changed everything. “Crave,” is a nice vocals driven song about hope and grace. Things wrap up with another of the band’s hits, the very rich sounding, “The Proof of Your Love (The Monologue Mix),” that includes spoken word taken from 1 Corinthians 13.
for KING & COUNTRY’s ‘Hope Is What We Crave LIVE,’ offers up so much good music that you need to add it to your musical collection.
